Douglas Laing is delighted to announce the launch of Timorous Beastie Highland Malt Scotch Whisky, bottled at 46.8% alc, and proudly without colouring or chill-filtration.
This specialist Small Batch bottling is created using only the finest Highland Malts including Dalmore, Glengoyne and Glen Garioch and with the classically “Highland” Whisky profile of heather, honey and spice, this vatting can truly be considered the ultimate distillation of the Highland region.
The original Timorous Beastie, immortalised in Robert Burns’ famous Scots poem “To a Mouse”, was a timid, little field mouse. Echoing our national bard’s wit, ours is most certainly not for the fainthearted!
Nose: Overridingly sweet initially – then warming to floral, light barley & spicy honeyed tones.
Palate: Opens in a spicy style – fructiferous, mellow, sugary & raisin-fudge-y in style.
Finish: Subtle yet sweet – detect a soft cough drop camphor/oaky hint plus milky cereals& late meringue.
Packaged in a premium gift tube with heavily gloss embossed bottle label & cork/capsule closure.
