The Provenance Range Returns – Newly Added to Our Collection

Douglas Laing’s Provenance series is back with three exceptional Single Cask releases - each bottled at 10 years old and drawn from just one carefully chosen cask. These limited bottlings capture a moment in time: a pure, unrepeatable expression of place, spirit, and craft.

From maritime freshness to Highland warmth and Speyside richness, this trio offers a whistle-stop tour of Scotland in three drams. Whether you’re expanding a collection or hunting your next favourite pour, Provenance showcases the authenticity, individuality, and character that only Single Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky can deliver.

What is Douglas Laing’s Provenance Collection?

The Provenance range champions regional style and distillery personality through single cask selections - no colouring, no chill filtration, and presented at an honest, natural character.

The New Trio at a Glance

Caol Ila 10 Years Old

  • Region: Islands
  • ABV: 46% | Bottles: 813 | Natural Colour & Non-Chill Filtered
  • Nose: A coastal explosion - ocean spray, citrus, sweet seaweed and a gentle, damp bonfire ash.
  • Palate: An opening of zingy lemon meringue is swiftly followed by charred meats and peat smoke.
  • Finish: Candied lime and flaked sea-salt with tantalisingly fresh, piquant and peated Malt notes (DGB).
  • Why It’s Special: A bold islander that perfectly balances smoke with seaside freshness.

Fettercairn 10 Years Old

  • Region: Highlands
  • ABV: 46% | Bottles: 398 | Natural Colour & Non-Chill Filtered
  • Nose: Bigger than the colour suggests, with a red jam quality, amongst dry, gristy spices.
  • Palate: Round and full of mouthcoating, tingly piquancy, gentle oak and cough-drop warmth.
  • Finish: All those elements are carried through its Malted barley, heartening finale (FHL).
  • Why It’s Special: A classic Highlander with a generous, welcoming profile.

Craigellachie 10 Years Old

  • Region: Speyside
  • ABV: 46% | Bottles: 345 | Natural Colour & Non-Chill Filtered
  • Nose: Fresh orchard fruits appear, swiftly followed by honey'd barley and cough drops.
  • Palate: Ripe dark fruits (plum and blackcurrant) combine with sweet baking spices.
  • Finish: Creme caramel and dark chocolate lead to pecan pie and lingering stem ginger (DGB).
  • Why It’s Special: Speyside finesse with an extra layer of richness from Craigellachie’ unique distillation style.
